Unedited photos of SISTAR‘s Soyu have gained much attention from fans.

On the 27th, Starship Entertainment tweeted photos of Soyu recording the song “White Love” featuring Boyfriend, SISTAR, and K.Will. The agency posted, “K.Will, SISTAR, and Boyfriend’s healing love song, ‘White Love’. Soyu is currently recording the song! Starship Planet‘s 2nd project! The song will be released on the 29th at noon! Please show us a lot of love ^^.”

The revealed photos show Soyu in a simple dress that complemented her long, thin legs and curvy body. Fans were impressed and commented, “Wow, she’s the best“, “I’m looking forward to the song!“, “I’m so jealous of her body“, and more.

There is only a little over two weeks left until the 2012 MelOn Music Awards airs!

MelOn teased fans at the beginning of the month, preparing fans to get their voting fingers ready to vote for their favorite biases. Polls for this year's Top 10 artists began on November 15th and closed on the 28th.

On the 29th, MelOn released greeting videos from artists SISTAR, Huh Gak and Baek Jiyoung, and asking viewers that they look forward to the upcoming award ceremonies.

The 2012 MelOn Music Awards will air on December 14th.

2AM decided to show its fans the full practice video of the group’s cover performance of SISTAR’s “Alone”. The practice video was released on November 30 through 2AM’s YouTube channel, showing the members’ sultry performance.

Recently, the four balladeers covered SISTAR’s “Alone” at their ‘The Way of Love concert’ in Seoul while appearing perfectly transformed themselves into seductive girl group members.

Coming together as ‘Starship Planet’, K.will, SISTAR, and BOYFRIEND collaborated once again on a winter project “White Love”, to express the warm love they carry for each other and for their fans.

The project is a way of thanking the fans who have cheered on Starship every year, and was created also to help those in need. “White Love” is described to be a healing love song and marks K.Will and Soyu’s first duet together with participation from Boyfriend’s Jeongmin.

The music video for the song stars labelmate Boyfriend’s Jeongmin as well as Huh Ji Won who is known to be a contestant from season 1 of ‘K-Pop Star’.

We ask for your love and support for K.Will and SISTAR’s Soyu’s duet song ‘White Love’ ^^!”, along with the photo above.

121121 SISTAR’s Dasom selected as MC for the Golden Disc Awards

SISTAR‘s Dasom has been chosen as the MC for the Golden Disc Awards.

The Golden Disc Awards will be held in mid-January 2013 in Malaysia and is one of the most prestigious awards show.

Dasom has MC experience previously MC’ing on MBC‘s ‘Music Core‘ before, so she is expected to be able to perform well at the Golden Disc Awards. Currently, no decision has been made on who her male MC counterpart will be.

121120 SISTAR’s Hyorin picked as idol most likely to win audition program

A recent recording of MBC Every1’s ‘Weekly Idol’ set to air November 21st, held a mock version of a survival singing competition program, where a number of actual idol stars voted on the “contestants”.

Main singers from various idol groups were listed, and the voting idols were asked to pick who they thought would be able to win an audition program. When compared with the likes of Teen Top’s Niel, A Pink’s Eunji, BEAST’s Yang Yoseob and JYJ’s Junsu, SISTAR’s Hyorin won the competition.

Hyorin was noted by her peers for her “ability to give her own perfect rendition in any genre”. Some of the voters on her side included Super Junior’s Kyuhyun and BEAST’s Hyunseung. Kyuhyun said, “Whether it’s singing or dancing, she's superior in everything.” Hyunseung added his praises saying, “I want to give Hyorin’s vocal talents a round of applause.”

Girl group SISTAR has been chosen as the “Woman Of The Year” by GQ Magazine Korea.

With its designation, SISTAR also held an exclusive photo shoot and interview for the magazine’s December issue. Known for their sexy image, the members once again showed a bold and vibrant concept.

Despite their busy schedules, SISTAR showed their professionalism and bright attitude in the five hour long photoshoot. GQ Magazine also stated that the members revealed certain confessions which will be included in the special issue.

The full spread and interview will be included in the upcoming December issue of GQ Magazine Korea.

SISTAR recently shared a friendly snapshot taken with the handsome actor Hyun Bin, much to the surprise of fans.

Dasom shared on their official Twitter on the 16th, “With Hyun Bin oppa who is serving in the marines~~”, along with the above photo.

SISTAR and Hyun Bin happily smiled at the camera with the girl group members looking visibly excited and shy as they stood next to the actor, who looked dashing in his uniform.

In other news, Hyun Bin will be concluding his military service on December 6th!

After causing a ripple in the advertisement industry with news of Lee Hyori’s 5-year stint as Lotte’s Cheoeum Cheorum soju model coming to a close, news of her successors have begun emerging.

After both mutually agreeing a new image was needed for the brand, Lee Hyori and Cheoeum Cheorum soju agreed to part ways after five years of doing business together


After careful deliberation, Lotte Chilsung Beverage revealed on November 13 it had chosen a trio of girl group members comprised of Kara’s Goo Hara, 4Minute’s Hyuna and SISTAR’s Hyolyn to serve as models.

The three were selected not only for their appeal but their lively and outgoing personalities which were deemed a good fit with the brand. The first commercial featuring the three girl group members has already been filmed.

Lotte Chilsung Beverage stressed however that its parting with Lee Hyori was done amicably and added Cheoeum Cheorum’s initial brand recognition and popularity was greatly attributed to Lee Hyori and her representation and would continue to give all respect to Lee Hyori before her contract expires.

121107 SISTAR, Big Bang and Wang Lee Hom confirmed for MAMA 2012!

The line up for the Mnet Asian Music Awards 2012 is piling up!

After the confirmation of Super Junior and Psy attending the awards show, officials from Mnet confirmed that Big Bang, SISTAR and Taiwanese singer and actor Wang Lee Hom will perform on the show too.

An official from Mnet and MAMA 2012 shared, "The viewers and fans should expect a world class stage performances featuring world class performers as well. There will not only be performers from Asia but also from England and America.

They should anticipate performances that they can only see in the MAMA stage". The MAMA 2012 will be held in Hong Kong this year on the 30th of November.

SISTAR‘s Bora complained that men don’t pick up her phone calls.

On the November 3rd episode of ‘Invincible Youth‘, the girls talked about some of the negatives of certain Korean men. Bora complained, “Why don’t guys pick up phone calls when they’re working?“, implying that she was speaking from experience.

Lee Young Ja answered, “The only time you can’t contact men are if they’re in the emergency room or if they’re at the police station. If he doesn’t pick up, that means he simply doesn’t like you anymore.”

Bora tried to defend herself and said, “He said that work was really important for males, so I had to understand the situation.” However, the other members all said, “You’re wrong“, causing her to throw down her chalkboard jokingly in frustration.

Duo Geeks and SISTAR‘s Soyu have collaborated together to remake Geeks’ debut track, “Officially Missing You“, which is based off the famous song by the same name by Tamia.

The single, featuring Soyu’s vocals, has been released featuring a fresh take on the original song.

Girl group member, Soyou of Sistar sings with Geeks.

Sistar's Soyou plans to release a duet track with male group Geeks titled, "Geeks & Soyou" 1st of next month.

Geeks have won 'Cyworld Digital Music Awards' and 'Rookie of this Month Award' with the song 'Officially Missing You' last month with the help of their fans' love and support.

Soyou will participate and sing the transcribe version of 'Officially Missing You, Too' from Geek's debut and hit song, 'Officially Missing You'

This will be the first time that Sistar's Soyou will appear as a solo singer. Geeks and Soyou singing together is now attracting all of their fans' attentions.
